WHY SCHEDULE ONGOING PEST MAINTENANCE?

Natural Science Exterminating doesn’t just fix pest problems – we prevent them throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Riverside County.

Annual or semi-annual maintenance is the most effective way to mitigate the risk of stubborn pests – especially termites.

Our goal is to avoid expensive spot treatments and make tent fumigation a last resort.

We’ll help you protect your property from pest-related damages and deterioration.

We’ll assess your home for infestation warning signs and possible pest entry points.

All of our preventative extermination products are eco-friendly and safe for children and pets.

Our maintenance contracts are flexible to meet your schedule and specific requirements.

Maintenance isn’t free – but preventative measures cost far less than emergency exterminations and reparations.

TESTIMONIALS

I have a yearly maintenance contract for termites, which more than pays for itself given the number of swarms I've had – both dry wood and subterranean varieties.

Of Yorba Linda, CA
I use their eco-friendly solutions as we have pets, and they got rid of our ant and spider problem. I really appreciate that they allow me to change from monthly [service] in the summer to bi-monthly in the winter.

Natural Science has been our go-to guys for over a decade. When an agent says we need to use any other company, we say, “No thanks, we have our own team.

G.C.

Real Estate Investor and General Contractor
After one company told us we needed to tent our house for a full chemical termite treatment, we called Dave DeGraw at Natural Science for a second opinion. After a no cost/no obligation comprehensive inspection, he said we only needed spot treatments with orange oil. He was in and out in a day, no dangerous chemicals and even expertly repaired all the wood damage. Six months later, we’re still termite free.

South Orange County homeowner
Dave DeGraw and his crew at Natural Science are only one of two inspection and exterminating companies we call for every home we sell. Timely, thorough and fair are just three of the reasons we count on them. New home owners love them as well.

Pest Protection Plans and Termite Control Plans

Pest & Termite Protection Plans for Long-Term Protection

Solving today’s pest problem is important, but long-term prevention is even better. Natural Science Exterminating offers flexible Pest Protection Plans and Termite Control Plans to keep homes and businesses in Orange County and Los Angeles County protected year-round.

Southern California’s mild climate means pests like ants, spiders, roaches, rodents, mosquitoes, and termites stay active all year. Without ongoing protection, hidden eggs and colonies can quickly rebuild after a one-time treatment. That’s why proactive maintenance is essential.

Our Pest Protection Plans include:

  • Routine inspections and scheduled treatments to stop pests before they spread
  • Customized service frequency (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly) based on risk level
  • Mix-and-match options like rodent control or mosquito control add-ons

At Natural Science Exterminating, our termite treatments come with a one-year guarantee, and after that period you have the option to continue coverage with our Annual Termite Control Plan. This plan includes a yearly inspection by one of our licensed termite inspectors, along with spot treatments for any active termite areas we find. As long as you keep the renewal active, your property remains protected year after year.

Coverage is tied to the type of initial treatment:

  • If you received a drywood termite treatment, your plan will cover drywood termites indefinitely with annual renewal.
  • If you received a subterranean termite treatment, your plan will cover subterranean termites indefinitely with renewal.

This ongoing protection ensures your home stays termite-free without the worry of unexpected costs.

With over 30 years of experience, we know how to design pest plans that fit both homes and commercial properties. Nearly all of our business clients choose a recurring plan because ongoing service is essential for compliance, prevention, and peace of mind.

FAQs

How often do you recommend pest control service?

We typically recommend monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly pest control service depending on your property type, pest history, and risk level. Homes in high-pressure areas (with lots of trees, landscaping, or near open fields) often benefit from monthly visits, while other properties may do well with less frequent service. Our team will recommend the best schedule to keep your home protected year-round.

Can I switch from a one-time service to a Pest Protection Plan?

Absolutely. If you’ve had a recent one-time treatment, you can easily transition into a Pest Protection Plan to prevent pests from coming back. Many customers choose this option because it provides ongoing protection, priority scheduling, and cost savings compared to multiple one-time services.

Does your protection plan cover both pests and termites?

Our Pest Protection Plans are flexible and customizable. General pest control (ants, spiders, cockroaches, silverfish, etc.) is the foundation of most plans, and you can also add recurring services such as:

  • Rodent Control – ongoing exterior bait station service with monitoring and rebaiting
  • Mosquito Control – low-toxicity solutions for consistent outdoor protection

Termites are handled separately. If you’ve received a termite treatment, it is guaranteed for one year, with the option to continue protection through an annual Termite Control Plan. This ensures your home stays covered against new termite activity and is highly recommended in Southern California’s climate.

Why is a Pest Protection Plan better than one-time service?

One-time treatments eliminate the pests you see, but they don’t stop hidden egg sacs or colonies from producing new pests. Many insects reproduce quickly, and their eggs often survive initial treatments:

  • Spiders: A single egg sac can hold hundreds of eggs, which may hatch weeks later.
  • Cockroaches: Egg cases (oothecae) are hidden in cracks, behind appliances, or inside walls. They can hatch weeks after treatment, releasing dozens of roaches.
  • Ants: Colonies may have multiple queens, each laying eggs in hidden areas. Knocking down visible ants doesn’t stop the colony from producing more.

A Pest Protection Plan provides continuous protection by targeting pests at different life stages, disrupting the breeding cycle, and keeping populations under control long-term.

What pests are included in your Pest Protection Plan?

Our general Pest Protection Plans cover common invaders such as ants, spiders, roaches, silverfish, earwigs, and more. You can also add coverage for rodents and mosquitoes depending on your property’s needs.

How much does a Pest Protection Plan cost?

Costs vary depending on service frequency, property size, and pest pressure. We provide customized quotes, so you’ll know exactly what your plan includes and what it costs before we begin service.

Do I need pest control year-round?

Yes. In Southern California’s climate, pests are active all year, not just in summer. Ants, spiders, rodents, and termites thrive in mild winters, which is why consistent maintenance is the best defense.

Do you offer Pest Protection Plans for businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We provide tailored Pest Protection Plans for homes, HOAs, apartments, and commercial properties. Each plan is customized to the property’s unique needs and compliance requirements.

In fact, nearly all of our commercial clients are on a recurring Pest Protection Plan, because businesses can’t afford the risks of pest activity. For restaurants, apartments, offices, and other commercial spaces, ongoing service isn’t just recommended — it’s essential for protecting your property, maintaining compliance, and preventing costly infestations that can harm your reputation.

What happens if I see pests between visits?

If pests return between scheduled services, just give us a call. Most of our Pest Protection Plans include a guarantee, meaning we’ll come back at no extra cost to resolve the issue.

It’s also important to know that if we’ve used a baiting method for pests like ants or cockroaches, you may actually see increased activity at first. That’s because the bait attracts pests before it eliminates the colony. After a short period, the activity will taper off as the treatment takes full effect and the infestation is controlled.

With ongoing maintenance, you’ll see fewer and fewer pests over time, and your home or business will remain protected year-round.

Do you offer eco-friendly options for ongoing pest control?

Yes. Our Pest Protection Plans prioritize eco-friendly, low-toxicity treatments whenever possible, while still being highly effective. We also offer botanical and natural solutions for customers who prefer green pest control.

What’s the difference between your Pest Protection Plan and your Termite Control Plan?

Our Pest Protection Plans focuses on common household pests such as ants, spiders, roaches, silverfish, and rodents. The Termite Control Plan is a separate program that provides long-term protection against termites after treatment. Many homeowners choose both if they’ve done a termite treatment with us for complete year-round protection.

Do I need to be home during my scheduled service?

Not always. For exterior-only treatments, you don’t need to be home. Just make sure that our pest professionals can get access. For interior service, we’ll schedule a convenient time to ensure full coverage. Either way, we’ll leave detailed service notes so you always know what was done.

Can I combine different services into one plan?

Yes. In addition to general pest control, you can bundle services by adding Rodent Control and Mosquito Control into a single customized plan. This way, you get comprehensive coverage and better value. By bundling we offer discounts on both rodent control and mosquito control.
